Save the Glass House
Did you think this historic building should have been saved or demolished or did you even care?
What you see in these recent pictures (2009) is a building that was originally an old 1930's service station and was later converted into to a retro looking liquor store back in the 1940's.
This historic landmark which is called THE GLASS HOUSE is set to be demolished to make way for a parking lot for a new CVS pharmacy in Harlingen Texas.
From what I've heard, the area where the THE GLASS HOUSE now stands, will be turned into 4-8 parking spaces and some added shrubbery. I've also heard it could be more or could be less. ... WOW, what a trade off.
... Regardless, The Glass House needs to be saved !

It's over. The fight to save the glasshouse has ended. It was demolished yesterday a thus ends the historic building in Harlingen.
A sad day for sure !
Yes i know there are more important life issues out in this world, but still a sad ending.
